The flavor of my e-cigarette is unpleasant/faded, what can I do about this?
Answer:
There are two common complaints about flavor. First, we often hear that the flavor of e-cigarettes is sometimes somewhat off. This is often related to the coil. When the coil is empty, it often gives off a burning taste, so it's important to replace the coil or pod as soon as you notice this. If the flavor remains the same after replacing the coil (and letting the new coil work), it's wise to refresh your e-liquid and thoroughly clean the tank or replace the pod (see Maintenance for more information).
It's also possible that the flavor of the e-liquid you're vaping has faded somewhat; you can no longer taste it clearly. Some people confuse this with a dead coil, but this isn't necessarily the case. You might also be experiencing "vaper's tongue," a condition where the person can no longer properly detect a particular flavor. This can be caused by excessive use of a particular flavor, and often occurs more quickly with strong flavors. The advice is to switch flavors frequently (especially if you're sensitive to this). Vaping menthol/mint flavors in between vapes can also be quite helpful.
