What is an e-cigarette?
Answer:
For some people, an e-cigarette is an alternative to smoking tobacco and consists of a battery and a vaporizer. The main difference from smoking tobacco is that it produces vapor, not smoke. With the push of a button, or with most pod systems, by inhaling without a button, vapor comes out of the mouthpiece, simulating tobacco smoking. The tank or pod is filled with specially formulated e-liquid with or without nicotine. The battery powers the vaporizer, which vaporizes the e-liquid. Therefore, "smoking" an e-cigarette is also called vaping. Daily maintenance consists of charging the battery and filling the vaporizer with e-liquid. In addition, the vaporizer's vaporizer, also called the coil, is regularly replaced. This coil contains a heating coil and cotton. The e-liquid from the tank is absorbed by the cotton, keeping the coil wet for the vaporization process. With pod systems, the entire pod is often replaced. The average lifespan of a coil or pod is 1.5-2 weeks.
When the flavor of the e-liquid changes and becomes somewhat bitter or burnt, it's time to replace the coil or pod.
